The former CEO of Kuoni Global Travel Services, Rolf Schafroth, has a new mandate: He recently became chairman of the Zurich based travel tech start-up Nezasa. The company’s main product is a system with which modular and individual trips can be put together online and made bookable. Having initially focused on the B2C market, Nezasa is now focusing on building a global network of B2B partnerships. Among others, it cooperates with FTI and Traveltainment.
In addition to Rolf Schafroth, other industry personalities are also active at Nezasa: For example, Max E. Katz, President of the Swiss Travel Association SRV, has held a stake in Nezasa since 2012 and also sits on the Board of Directors.
By the way, Schafroth seems to have generally enjoyed startups. Since May, he has also been a member of the Advisory Board of Viselio, a young Swiss specialist for visa procurement, which was founded and is managed by Roland Zeller’s son Niklas Zeller.
